Our elders (pictured below with their wives) are shepherds and overseers of the church family (I Peter 5:3). They are happy to pray with and help you with spiritual matters in your life.
Brent has a passion for Christ and helping God’s people to praise and worship. He leads regular worship times, plans special services, coordinates the praise team ministry and contributes to the enrichment of our worship experience. A Harding University graduate, Brent and his wife Amberly came to Westover in 2004 and have three children Brooklyn, Tynneson and Coleston.
Adam and Denise came to Westover in 1998, and became our Children’s Ministers in 2005. They were married in 1986 and have three beautiful daughters. The Blacks feel a great calling for sharing Jesus with God’s children and their families. They love kids and enjoy sharing the wonders of God’s world with them in fun and creative ways.
Nancy provides administrative support to the Senior Preaching Minister. She creates the weekly church bulletin, sends weekly all church email, compiles and updates prayer requests, is a notary that serves the congregation and community, and assists with database issues. Nancy has been blessed to work at Westover for ten years and looks forward to continuing to serve at Westover.
Kevin enjoys serving the Westover family and the rhythm of Austin’s active lifestyle. While he is fond of making sure everything is ready for those God sends our way, he looks most forward to greeting both new and familiar faces each week. He and his wife, Nancie, raised both their children, Aryn & McKenzie, in Austin. In addition to ministry, Kevin loves listening to tech podcasts while running or cycling to stay fit.
God has invited Daniel to join his work in the lives of College Students, Young Professionals, and Young Marrieds at Westover and in the Austin area. Daniel and his amazing wife Natalie are graduates of Lubbock Christian University. Daniel also graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Abilene Christian University. When Daniel isn’t hanging out with Natalie or his three children Kason, Max, and Zoe, he loves to be outside riding his bike.
Andrew grew up in Abilene, TX and worshiped at Highland Church of Christ. He graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Theatre, showing him the power that story has in sharing Christ with the world. A heart for ministry was placed inside of Andrew that has been nurtured through his years in the youth group, serving in leadership roles at ACU Leadership Camps, and the continual grace that is offered by our great God. His goal is not to help shape popular, well-liked, or “normal” teens, but teens who have a personal relationship with Christ and joyfully follow Him.
