Westover Helps

Starting in January we will no longer be helping with rent assistance. We will ONLY help with utility bills.

We have a food pantry the 2nd & 3rd Thursday of the month, 1 PM – 3 PM. We do offer very limited financial aid during this time.. If you plan to apply for financial assistance you must bring a photo ID and printed copy of a current utility bill or lease.  Due to the extreme volume of people needing financial assistance we are not able to assist everyone who applies at this time, but to meet with you, pray with you and offer compassion and grace.

We meet with clients for food assistance on the 2nd & 3rd Thursday of every month from 1 – 3 pm. You are welcomed through the Mesa entrance across from Anderson High School.

Food Pantry and Assistance Procedures

Our intention is to serve in a compassionate and loving manner. We hope that we will reflect Jesus as we aim to serve God and to serve you.

  1. We are open on the 2nd and 3rd Thursday afternoons each month from 1:00 to 3:00.

  2. When you come in, we will ask you to complete an Assistance Application Form. This includes a Central Texas Food Bank form.

  3. After you complete these forms, we look forward to visiting and praying with you. Please be prepared to wait.  We try our best to meet with everyone in a timely manner that also allows each person to share their story.

  4. Our Food Pantry is open to anyone. We have pre-filled bags of grocery basics ready for you. You can receive a bag each time we are open.

  5. If you need financial assistance with a utility bill, there is a separate Financial Aid Application to complete. Along with your completed application you will need to provide your current utility bill, disconnect notice, rental agreement, or eviction notice and a current photo ID.

  6. A review committee meets to review all the applications received and will call to inform you if payment is being processed for your application. Payments are made directly to the utility company or leasing company the following week.

  7. Due to the overwhelming demand for these services we only offer financial assistance twice a year per family.
