Marriage is a beautiful thing, but it is also a very challenging venture.
The truth is, no one is able to cultivate a happy and healthy marriage without the support and encouragement of loving friends and mentors. That’s exactly what this ministry offers. We take a comprehensive approach to equipping people to nurture their marriage throughout a life time.

Join us on Sunday mornings at 10 AM for Marriage Matters in A103.

Give us 8 weeks and we’ll give you a Dynamic Marriage!
Starts January 8th, 5 PM in C208-209. Must register in advance to attend – email marriage@westover.org

Dynamic Marriage doesn’t just teach you; it’ll change you!
Dynamic Marriage takes you and your spouse on an insightful journey to discover each other’s innermost emotional needs and expectations. Based on the “Love Bank” model from the book, His Needs, Her Needs by Dr. Willard Harley, you’ll learn how communication and behavior styles affect the way you and your spouse act and react to each other. Through an interactive learning process, you’ll identify behaviors that may be damaging your marriage, develop healthy ways to deal with marital conflict and take concrete steps to meet each other’s needs better than you ever have before.

Week after week, you’ll uncover new perspectives about yourself and your spouse… all the while your newly acquired skills are becoming a natural part of your relationship. By the end, you and your spouse communicate, interact, understand and love each other at a deeper, more intimate level.

Ordinary marriages become exciting!

What Is Marriage Mentoring?
Marriage mentoring is a process for training key couples in your church to mentor other couples, especially those in crisis.

The Three Proven Steps:
* Train the mentor couple to Mediate  |  Teach  |  Confront
* Train the church administrator
* Promote mentoring to the church and community

What it is NOT:
The Mentor Training System is not another teaching cirriculum. It is not a replacement for clinical or pastoral counseling.

What it is:
It is a hands on method of mediation and negotiation, empowering couples to solve their own issues. It is unique in that it’s designed to be effective for premarital couples, couples wanting to enrich their marriage and couples in crisis. The role of the mentor is to mediate first, teach biblical truth second and confront core issues third.

The role of a mentor couple:
The role of the mentor is to mediate first, teach biblical truths second and confront core issues third over a 10 week period. Mentees love it because it is focused specifically on their life issues and they enjoy the feeling of accomplishment when solving their own challenges. Mentors love it because it is very structured yet is an easy process to follow and they dont feel pressured to “fix” couples.
