Conference Topic: “Understanding Your Child’s Behaviors”
Using his knowledge of Leaps, a Social and Emotional Learning program that he developed for school districts, Mr. Burcham will teach you how to address problem behaviors in your children by looking at the root cause of these behaviors. He will discuss how behaviors originate, the purposes they serve, and how behaviors tend to be augmented and reinforced at home, at school, and with friends. This process of understanding the reason why certain behaviors are occurring is critical for the development of your child, as well as for the relational development between you and your child.
