Chiang Mai, Thailand
ROBERT & JAN REAGAN have been working in Chiang Mai, Thailand, since 1994 and have been a part of 5 church plantings. Currently their main ministry focus is with the Payap Christian Zone Church. PCZ began as a campus ministry outreach at Payap University in 2000. After growing to a group of more than 20 people, PCZ became a church in 2004.
WE NEED COUPLES FOR FRIENDSHIP WEEK
Come help us teach Friendship Week each October and May. This is a week-long camp teaching English by using a story about American high school students talking about God and developing faith. Most of the students at Friendship Week are Burmese-Karen refugees from the Thai-Myanmar border. These students are diligent, focused and extremely grateful for all they learn and experience during Friendship Week. Total length of the trip is two weeks.
WE NEED UNIVERSITY AGE INTERNS
to work with our church for 2 months each summer. The Interns main focus is to be a “magnet” to attract new people to our ministry; and to be a “bridge” to connect these people with Jesus Christ and the members of our church. 283 INTERNS & APPRENTICES have served in the Chiang Mai Internship since 1997! And more than 20 of those interns have been young people from Westover Hills who were sponsored by Westover Hills.
CHIANG MAI INTERNSHIP IS ALL ABOUT ROUTINE & ROAD TRIPS
Routine time in Chiang Mai is focused on learning and experiencing Spiritual Disciplines and how to reach out to Thai people in the daily equipping classes. Road Trips take us up into the mountains surrounding Chiang Mai to teach English camps to poor hill tribe children in small villages. These trips create amazing memories – from bonding with the kids we teach – to taking in the breathtaking mountain and valley views – to experiencing the diverse cultures of the hill tribe people groups in Northern Thailand.
